Marshall County Hospital History

Marshall County Hospital opened its doors as Benton Municipal Hospital in March 1964. It was originally scheduled to open in July of that year but because of a tornado that passed through Hardin, KY, it opened early to assist the victims. The hospital remained at 503 George McClain Drive until a new facility was constructed in 2009. Marshall County Hospital is located at 615 Old Symsonia Road in Benton, Kentucky and is a Joint Commission (JC) accredited facility with a 24-hour provider staffed emergency room.

The hospital provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including: home health, wound care clinic, ultrasounds, digital 3D mammography, x-rays, CT, MRI suite, lab, physical, speech, cardiac, and occupational therapy, surgery, orthopedics, Rural Health Clinic services, any much more.
