Phlebotomist- Full Time
Join our Team! Marshall County Hospital is committed to provide primary and certain specialty services with high quality care, concern, dedication to the improvement of our facility.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Works under close supervision to obtain blood samples used in diagnostic testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Obtain blood samples from patients quickly, efficiently, and with a minimum of discomfort, differentiating stat requests from routine samples.
Maintain a hygienic, well-stocked area for blood collection.
Utilize the appropriate procedure, technique and materials for each test ordered ensuring that laboratory requisition forms are correctly completed.
Correctly follows emergency procedures as needed.
Run an automatic urine dipstick after properly trained and reviewed by testing personnel.
Physical Requirements: Requires lots of standing and some bending.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Employee must be outgoing and friendly with patients.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma plus phlebotomy training.
Six months of experience in blood-drawing techniques preferred
MCH is an EOE
